Harbor House Publisher to Join South Carolina Writers Workshop
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Harbor House publisher Carrie McCullough will be part of the faculty for the South Carolina Writers Conference on Oct. 20 through Oct. 22 at the Ocean Creek Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The two workshop sessions McCullough will be teaching, "Getting Published" and "Things You Might Not Know About Being a First-time Author," will be held at 11 a.m. to noon and 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., respectively, Saturday, Oct. 21.
On Sunday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., McCullough will participate in the Interactive Editors and Agents Panel.
Carrie McCullough, a native of Augusta, Ga., spent nearly a decade in newspapers before joining Harbor House in 2004. A graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Journalism and Mass Communications, McCullough was a copy editor at The State in Columbia, then the Beaufort Gazette before becoming assistant news editor and book editor for The Morning News in Florence, S.C. She also had a brief stint as an adjunct professor for the University of South Carolina in its journalism college. She began her publishing career at Harbor House as Managing Editor and Director of Marketing, before being named Associate Publisher in August 2004. In August 2005, Harbor House founder E. Randall Floyd promoted McCullough to Publisher.
