McCullough Promoted to Publisher at Harbor House

AUGUSTA, Georgia - Harbor House, the Augusta-based book publisher, has promoted its associate publisher, Carrie McCullough, to publisher.

McCullough, a native of Augusta, came to Harbor House in March 2004 with a rich background as a former newspaper editor and has overseen the day-to-day activities at Harbor House as it experienced a period of explosive growth.

"She has really come through for us," said Randall Floyd, owner and founder. "In the past year, Carrie has supported Harbor House during a period of change and shown herself to be more than capable. I am excited to see her use her talents to their full potential."

McCullough originally joined Harbor House as the director of marketing and managing editor, and she was promoted to associate publisher in August 2004.

"I am honored Randall has such confidence in my abilities. Harbor House is a publishing company on the rise and will only move up in the years to come," said McCullough.

Floyd will be focusing on completing several projects for Harbor House, most notably High Moon on the Marsh and In the Realm of Bigfoot.

"I'm excited about going back to writing. This has been my desire since founding the house in 1997, to go back to what I enjoy doing the most," Floyd said. "We're finally at a time where that's possible."

McCullough's promotion is the latest in a string of promotions and additions to the company.

In April, Holly Croft, a former Congressional aide, joined Harbor House as the director of publicity, and in June, Matthew Riddle, a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, took over the editorial duties as editorial director. On August 30, LaDonna Beeker will assume the responsibilities of assistant to the publisher.
