Harbor House turns into Horror House

AUGUSTA, Georgia — Fans of horror novels should get set for a real fright fix. Coming fall 2005, Augusta-based Harbor House will launch BatWing Press, a new book imprint dedicated to publishing the finest in horror fiction.

The debut title of the series, Deadlands, was penned by Scott A. Johnson, the author who defined chilling in his first novel, An American Haunting.

"For Harbor House to launch this line shows dedication to the fan base, and great insight into the horror genre," said Johnson. "That they’ve chosen me to be their first author under the imprint shows a great deal of faith, for which I am grateful."
BatWing Press, a fresh new voice in the genre, promises horror enthusiasts just what they’re looking for – smart horror that does not skimp on scares.
