Harbor House's Lazard Legacy a Top Seller in Atlanta
ATLANTA - The Lazard Legacy, by Sandersville physician Dr. William
Rawlings Jr.,
placed third in book sales in Atlanta Waldenbook stores for the month
of August.
The 300-page thriller, published by Augusta-based Harbor House, pushed
ahead of
5th place Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy (Penguin) and 9th place
South Beach Diet
by Dr. Arthur Agatston (Rodale Press).
All Men Are Rogues by Sari Robins (Avon) placed first and Sex
and the Sleepwalker by Donna Sterling (Harlequin) came in second.
"Obviously, we're elated by how well The Lazard Legacy is
selling in the Atlanta market," said publisher E. Randall Floyd.
"This book is forging ahead in many markets across the country, not
just in the South."
Dr. Rawlings' second novel, The Rutherford Cipher--a modern thriller
set in Georgia based on the lost Confederate gold--will be released next
Fall.
"This book is going to surprise and even shock a lot of people,"
Mr. Floyd predicted.
Dr. Rawlings has been invited to do a special autograph signing during
the Southeastern Booksellers Association annual convention at Jekyll Island,
Ga.,
Sept. 19-21. He also was selected to conduct a reading and signing at
Mercer University's Author's Luncheon, a much-publicized annual literary
event hosted by best-selling novelist Pat Conroy, in Atlanta in November.
