In the Realm of Ghosts & Hauntings:
A spooky evening with horror-meister E. Randall Floyd
Are ghosts for real?
Augusta author E. Randall Floyd, who has penned many best-selling books
about the supernatural, explores this age-old question in his latest book,
In the Realm of Ghosts & Hauntings, which hits the bookstores
this month in time for Halloween.
"The subject of ghosts simply won't go away," Mr. Floyd said
in an interview. "Like the weather and sex, it seems here to stay-even
as we head into the new millennium."
Mr. Floyd, who has appeared on dozens of national talk shows-including
Art Bell's Coast-to-Coast, Barry Farber Show, Good Day,
USA-promoting his new book, will discuss his views and findings at
a special presentation Oct. 28 at Friedman Library at 1447 Jackson Road,
5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The public is invited.
"We're all fascinated by the supernatural," Mr. Floyd noted.
"Belief in the supernatural has played key roles in the development
of all major religions and cultures around the world."
Mr. Floyd said his fascination for the supernatural was spawned listening
to his grandmother spin hair-raising tales about "old haunts and
boogers" down in the swamps of South Georgia.
"I never got those old stories out of my head," Mr. Floyd explained.
"They formed the basis for many of my books, fiction and nonfiction."
