“The idea for Scott’s Ark came to me during a long period of time. The first time I considered writing a book was when the United States and Soviet Union were threatening to blow each other to “kingdom come” in the 1960s. When the conflict between the USA and the USSR evaporated as the Soviet nation fell apart, the basis for my plot evaporated, and I put the writing on hold. However, today’s society has a similar threat, so I knew the time was right for my novel.

Writing the story on paper is the only way I could get my ideas told. There are a lot of things that I want to say, and maybe writing this book is a method by which I can be heard. I hope the readers of Scott’s Ark will become concerned about the state of our society currently and do something to better the world we live in.”
